Firm Update

Exciting and busy best describe the last three years for Mark Day & Associates. In 2012 we worked to shift our firm’s focus because of the economic conditions, from primarily higher education and State and Local Government, back to private industry, manufacturing and Hi-tech.

Our firm was honored to join the team designing and constructing what at the time was the “largest privately funded” construction project in the United States for a worldwide confidential semi-conductor manufacturer in Hillsboro, Oregon. During the design and construction phase, these projects required three to four of our team members to be onsite daily for the last 36 months. Needless to say, it required our full attention and was the largest project our firm had been involved in to date.

From working as the Owner’s representative through staff augmentation, to telecommunications design, project management, Revit BIM services, and construction administration, our team was involved in many aspect of several unique projects. With those projects including over 2 million sq. ft. of cleanroom, 1 million sq. ft. mixed use office and manufacturing buildings, data centers, and even (2) 5,000 stall parking structures, the last few years have brought some very diverse experience.

Our largest take away from the last few years has been the experience gained working side by side with some of the largest Design and Construction firms in the U.S. including; Anderson Construction, CH2M Hill, Corbin Engineering, EC Company, Hoffman Construction Company, Howard S. Wright Construction, LRS Architects, Oregon Electric Group, Skanska USA, Turner Construction, and ZGF Architecture.

This team brought together what can only be described as the most complicated and technical design and construction projects the Northwest has ever seen in just a few short years.

Please let us know if we can assist you on your project.
